The Lost Weekend

Last weekend, VinoVerve experienced something akin to a solar eclipse.

Three out of four of the team managed to get together. How did we celebrate this event? We went to a winery and to dinner.

The winery? Lynfred. Marguerite introduced Kevin and I to Lynfred wine years ago, but she had never been to the winery itself. That can not be said anymore. We had a lovely tasting enjoying a glass of the Cabernet Merlot.

We also headed out to Sabatino’s, my neighborhood Italian place where Enzo and Angelo and their staff treated us like a King and two Queens…. and the Princesses complained that we even looked at them. At Sabatino’s we drank Frescobaldi, and sparkling Moscato and even something French (Gasp! Quel horreur!)

I even cooked over the weekend. Chicken and sausage paella with a red and rose sangria that I made myself…

I am missing lots of pictures because it was crazy. There were family obligations to cover… A girl to be confirmed. And now that the craziness is over, I am glad that we celebrated our solar eclipse properly. With family and friends and wine.
